My name is Clyde. I am a Dogz II pet and I have big feet. Did ya notice? Minibyte got my breed file from Anso's site a long time ago (way back in 1998.) The file promised to be a surprise. Well, I was a surprise, all right. I started out as an absolutely adorable puppy. As I grew, however, there came a point where my feet just started getting bigger and bigger. GASP! I was terrified that Minibyte was gonna delete me! So I really did my best to be a good dog. I retrieved and I was a real expert at catching the flying disk. I learned to do some tricks and tried to make Minibyte laugh. I guess I was really good, 'cuz she laughed every time she played with me. And SHE KEPT ME!!!
So, here I am, many years later, all growed up and hosting the Dogz II Breed list page. Wow. I feel so special!
There weren't very many breeds for the first Dogz game. Only a few people tried hexing breeds back then. It wasn't much fun to have a lot of breeds for Dogz I because you could have only one pet in your game at a time. Things changed with Dogz II and Catz II. Although each of the games originally had only five breeds, P.F. Magic later provided five additional catz breeds and five additional dogz breeds as official downloads. You could have as many breeds as you wanted and you could bring out two petz at a time and let them play together.
