![]() Oh, hello. May I help you? I am Forest D. Nutter, Manager. I'm an expert on the collections here. I used to be a typical Folk Forest Squirrel, spending my days hunting and storing nuts for winter. Hazelnuts, Walnuts, Chestnuts, Acorns... Day after day.... hunting for nuts and burying them with high hopes that I would remember where they were. Hunting, hunting, hunting. Do you have any idea how BORING that was? The only excitement was that sometimes, SOMETIMES, I got lucky and found some tasty tulip bulbs. Yum! But it's hard to stay excited about tulip bulbs for very long..... Life went on and on in an endless line of nuts and I was beginning to feel frustrated and very, very depressed. |

And that's when Minibyte found me and offered me this job! She said she had noticed how good I was about organizing and storing nuts and that, if I was willing to move to the Archives, she would make sure I had plenty of food all Winter if I took care of her collections! She told me that there was a lot of work to maintaining them and that the manager she hired had to be very trustworthy because he or she would handle any trade offers!
I accepted her offer and now I am too busy to ever be bored again. When new items come in I have to label them and put them on display. If the item is something up for trade I have to apply an owner stamp and handle any trade offers. Everything has to be kept dusted and nice and neat. I also have to guide visitors through the exhibits and tell them about the collections. Meeting all those people is a lot more fun than hunting and burying nuts!!
There's a lot to see here. Petz site owners have been creating Petz game collectables for years, They would place them on their sites, usually for a limited time, for others to collect. When an item was no longer available on a site, people had to find other collectors and offer trades for copies of items needed to complete their collections. There were trading cards, coins, site guardians, horoscope signs, stamps, all kinds of interesting things. The newest generation of Petz gamers needs to start creating some new collectables. The exhibits here may give you ideas for some new ones to make and post on your site. They are loads of fun to see, to trade and to collect! Plus, of course, they are a way to attract people to your web site!
I haven't finished setting up all of Minibyte's collections yet, but you can start looking at the first few while I work on the next one. Just click on the collection you want to view. If you download some for your web page you won't be able to post a link for most of them because the sites no longer exist. But, PLEASE, include some text giving credit to the site that created the collectable. Don't take credit for something you didn't create..... Oh, and try not to drool on the goodies. I just HATE wiping icky, gooey drool off the exhibits!! |
